The hotel is nicely situated in the heart of Stranda, with a beautiful backyard that borders the magnificent Storelva.

Located in close proximity to the Strandafjellet ski resort, the hotel offers a variety of activities suitable for everyone. Join guided peak tours to experience the fantastic mountain views, or take a hike to explore the surrounding nature. In winter, the whole family can enjoy a selection of winter activities.

The hotel features 62 hotel rooms, a restaurant, lobby bar, conference facilities, and an indoor swimming pool and sauna.

We are pleased to announce that this fall, we will be undergoing a comprehensive renovation of the hotel to enhance our facilities and ensure you have an even better experience with us.

The hotel’s swimming pool

Unwind, relax your body, and experience a sense of well-being in the hotel’s delightful swimming pool, with a pool temperature of 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). Bring a book and enjoy some time for yourself in the comfortable chairs around the pool. Large, open windows make you feel like you’re outdoors, and in the changing room, you can take a refreshing shower after your swim. The swimming pool is open to all, year-round.

The History of the Hotel

From 1917

Stranda Hotel is located in the beautiful fjord village of Stranda, which is part of the Sunnmøre region in Norway. The hotel has a long and fascinating history dating back to the early 1900s.

Originally built in 1915 as a modest mountain cabin, Stranda Hotel served as a gathering place for travelers and adventurers looking to explore the spectacular mountains and fjords in the area. The hotel quickly gained popularity due to its idyllic location and warm hospitality.
